Medieval Times and Luhr Park Field Trip Contracts
These will be coming home in the Friday Folder this week!  They will be due back (signed) by Tuesday.  More information will be trickling home over the next couple of weeks, but we are starting the incentive program to attend these trips on Monday, April 20th.  The kids are really getting excited!
ISTEP begins this week and the kids are READY!
Fun Fair Success!
For those who were not able to make our annual Fun Fair, it was a huge success!  We were elated that our (4) Chicago trips were each won by a 5th grader!  Congratulations to Colleen Kepplin, Grant Jarka, Lucas Plechner, and Emilee Bird!  Thanks also to our parents who donated to this event as well :)
IT'S BACK! Ice Cream Sandwich Fridays!
Students can once again purchase an ice-cream sandwich on the last Friday of the month!  The cost is $ .60 and they must use their lunch accounts for the ice cream.  Be sure to put money into your accounts if you wish to enjoy it!
Broken/Damaged iPad Bags...
Unfortunately, iPad bags will not be replaced free of charge any longer. Parents will be required to pay $7.75 for a new replacement bag. Remember, students are not allowed to travel without their iPad inside a bag.
Once again, we are selling BARE BOOKS in our school library!  Bare Books are hard cover books with blank pages for children to write on. They can decorate the design on the front cover, or they can purchase a book with no design on the front and be as artistic as they want to be! The 28 blank pages in the book allow authors total creative control, and enable them to place illustrations exactly where they want them.  Line guides are also available for purchase- these are reusable and slip under the pages of a book to help students write straight.  When have a variety of styles to choose from.  Students may purchase these during their library times.  Bare Books make great keepsakes, party favors, travel journals, get-well books, gifts, and poem journals!  Books are $2 each and Line Guides are $.25 each.
Early or End of the Day Pick-Ups:
Please remember to send a note in with your child or call before noon to make changes in transportation.  It is very disruptive at the end of the day, or at the last minute, to locate where your child is (we switch classes) and try and gather any work they will miss.  Thanks a bunch!
Calling All Boxtops!
Please save Boxtops for Education!  Our school earns money by saving boxtops and in the spring, we always have a competition per classroom to see who can save the most!  Students can bring home our collection sheets so you can fill them out at home (tape them on please) or we can tape them on at school.  If you would like more information, or sheets to print from home, click on the link to the left!
We have adopted a college!

Remind 101
Remind 101 is a great way for us to send you text or email messages about important upcoming events.  It is a safe way for us to communicate with you and our students (one way) without exchanging any cell phone numbers.  If you need more information, see the link to the left.  Our class code is K22QD.  You will only need to sign on to your homeroom class.
